Speaker: Prof. Yi-De Liu, National Taiwan Normal University
Yi-De Liu has started the role as Vice President for International Affairs, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) since 2022. He takes charge of developing global partnerships, recruiting international students and coordinating international student affairs. He graduated from University of Portsmouth with a PhD in European Studies, National Chengchi University with a MA in Diplomacy, and National Central University with a BA in French. Since 2010, he has been teaching at the Institute of European Cultures and Tourism. During his 12-year academic career in NTNU, he has served as Associate Vice President for International Affairs (2018-2021), Director of the Institute of European Cultures and Tourism (2013-2016) and Director of French Centre (2013-2016). He is also seving as Managing Supervisor of European Community Studies Association Taiwan and Editorial Board of EU Centre in Taiwan. His main research focus is the EU’s cultural policy. He has published more than 20 articles in international journals, has gained three times the awards as Distinguished Professor of NTNU, and has been invited by University of Angers and Univeristy of Burgundy in France as visiting professor. He is fluent in English, French and Mandarin.
