Admissions
Our Institute offers one graduate level program and one undergraduate level program, as follows:
European Cultures and Tourism Program
Our main program provides students with a firm theoretical and practical foundation in aspects related to both European cultures and tourism. In order to obtain their master’s degree, students need
- to acquire 30 credits. 9 credits need to be obtained by successfully completing the requirements of the 3 compulsory courses we offer; the remaining 21 credits can be acquired by successfully completing the requirements of the elective courses students opt for;
- to write a master’s dissertation. This needs to be 65 pages or longer and can be written in either Chinese or English.
Upon graduation, our alumni generally follow a career in either culture-related institutions (museums, government offices, cultural foundations, art magazines, etc.) or tourism-related companies (travel agencies, the hotel industry, aviation companies).
European Culture and Language Program
This program is open for NTNU students only. The recruiting process takes place in March every year. Students who finish taking one of the cultural course can register as members of this program. Aiming to provide students with basic linguistic skills as well as fundamental knowledge about Europe, the program offers courses in both European languages (French, German, Spanish, and Latin) and European cultures. Successful completion of the program involves acquiring 12credits—6 from language-training courses and 6 from courses dedicated to European cultures—and is certified by a diploma.
