What is Morphology?
Morphology is the study of the structure and formation of words. It focuses on how the smallest units of language\u2014such as roots, prefixes, and suffixes\u2014combine to form complete words. For example, the English word \u201cunhappiness\u201d consists of the prefix \u201cun-\u201d, the root \u201chappy\u201d, and the suffix \u201c-ness\u201d. This process is a key part of morphological analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this talk, Professor Chien-Hung Chen will take French and English as examples to delve into the similarities and differences in their syntactic structures. He will guide us through deeper linguistic concepts, helping us understand how language structure influences cultural expression and ways of thinking.
