aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-2471\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"false\"><h4><strong>History of the Program of European Cultures and Languages:<\/strong><\/h4><p>To provide the students of National Taiwan Normal University an access to learn European languages, Accredited Program of French and Accredited Program of German were established by the Graduate Institute of European Cultures and Tourism in 2007. 40 students were recruited in each program. In 2016, the German Program was consolidated with the French Program; French Program was later on renamed to the Program of European Cultures and Languages.<\/p><p>In addition to providing more European language courses (French, German, Spanish and Latin), cultural courses (literature, food culture, arts and film etc.) are added by the Institute. With a variety of courses, students are able to learn languages and also their cultural backgrounds at the same time.<\/p><h4><strong>Features of the <\/strong><strong>Program of European Cultures and Language: <\/strong><\/h4><ol><li>The program covers European cultures in multi-phases. For instance, arts, history, cultures, music, food, creativity, film and so forth. Students are able to probe into the essence of European cultures through the courses.<\/li><\/ol><ol start=\"2\"><li>European language courses such as French, German, Spanish and Latin provided by the program always motivate students to enhance their professionality on European languages and cultivate their cultural literacy at the same time.<\/li><\/ol><p>3.Through the European language and cultural courses, students are able to deepen their knowledge of Europe and broaden their international horizon.<\/p><h4><strong>Faculty of the Program of European Cultures and Languages:<\/strong><\/h4><p>The full-time teachers of the program are from those of the Graduate Institute of European Cultures and Tourism. Part-time teachers of the program are full-time teachers from European-related departments of other universities. To strengthen students\u2019 future development and competitiveness, National Taiwan Normal University (hereinafter referred to as the school) provides the \u201cAccredited Program of European Cultures and Languages\u201d (hereinafter referred to as the program). The program is mainly organized by the Graduate Institute of European Cultures and Tourism.<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">2. The application is for both graduate and undergraduate students who are at their periods of studying.<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">3. The maximum number of the student recruitment of the program is 80 every year. The number could be increased considering the faculty and facilities of the Graduate Institute of European Cultures and Tourism.<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">4.Students of the program are recruited in the second semester every year, and the schedule of application is subjected to the announcement. The application form, transcript and class rank are required when students apply for the program.<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">5. Document review is the main selection mode. An interview will be taken place if necessary.<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">6. Students should accomplish at least 12 credits. For the field of language course, students should take at least 2 courses (6 credits) while for cultural course (includes the compulsory), students should take at least 2 courses (6 credits). One half or more of the credits should not be related to the department (institute and degree program) of the student\u2019s major, minor and other degree programs\u2019 compulsory. More detailed content of the courses please look at the table of the curriculum of the program.<\/span><br \/><\/span><\/h4><h6 style=\"line-height: 20pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">7. Accomplished courses which are same or similar to the program\u2019s courses can be recognized after the review of the Graduate Institute; yet there is a limit up to 3 credits only.<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">8. For the students who want to terminate the program should go to the Office of Academic Affair and submit a giving-up application before the deadline of course adding and dropping.<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">9. Students who accomplish the compulsory courses and credits of the program can submit the transcript for all semesters to the Graduate Institute of European Cultures and Tourism. After the verification given by the Graduate Institute, students can apply for the certification for the program at the Office of Academic Affairs.<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">10. For the students who are unable to finish taking courses in time before the graduation, they can apply for continuing studying on the program while they are doing their master and doctoral degrees.<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: \u5fae\u8edf\u6b63\u9ed1\u9ad4, sans-serif;\">11. The regulations are implemented or revised through the approval of the NTNU Academic Affairs Meeting.<\/span><\/span><\/h6><p style=\"font-weight:
