Study and Application Regulations

1. To strengthen students’ language abilities, future employment and competitiveness, National Taiwan Normal University provides the "Accredited Program of European Cultures and Languages" (hereinafter referred to as the program).
 
 
2. The application is for both undergraduate and graduate students.
 
 
3. The total accommodation number is limited to 80 students every year. The recruitment number could be increased considering the faculty and facilities of Graduate Institute of European Cultures and Tourism.
 
4. Application for the program is conducted in the second semester, and the schedule of application is announced in March. The application form and one transcript are required when apply.
 
 
5. Document review is the main selection mode. An interview will be taken place if necessary.
 
6. Students should accomplish at least 21 credits, 2 courses 6 credits for Language field, 4 courses 12 credits for European Culture field (including compulsory). One half or more of the taken courses should not be related to student’s major department (institute, degree program)、minor or other program’s compulsory. The content of the courses will be planned and reviewed by the Graduate Institute of European Cultures and Tourism.
 
7. Accomplished courses that are similar to the courses of the program will be granted; yet there is a limit up to 6 credits only.
 
8. To terminate the program, students need to submit a giving-up application before the deadline of course adding and dropping. Courses already taken and credits acquired will be recognized by the students’ major departments.
 
 
9. Recognition of credits, course schedule, credits fees, program certification and other related affairs are conducted by the regulations of ‘National Taiwan Normal University’s Accredited Program Installation’.
 
10. Students who accomplished the "Accredited Program of European Cultures and Languages" should prepare transcript for all semesters, and be verified by the Graduate Institute of European Cultures and Tourism before applying for the program certification at the Office of Academic Affairs.
 
 
11. All the courses of the program should be finished while in school duration. Anyone unable to finish taking the course in time can apply for extension for at most 2 years. The extension years will be conducted by NTNU Regulations of Students.
 
 
12. Related items not mentioned in the regulations will follow NTNU’s related regulations.
 
 
13. The regulations are executed or revised through the approval of the NTNU Academic Affairs Meeting.
